Precision Wiring is a licensed electrical contractor (REC 35346) based in Geelong, Victoria. This policy explains how we collect, use, store and share personal information when you visit precisionwiring.com.au, contact us or use our services.

We aim to handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

We only collect what we need to quote, do and support your job. This may include:

• your name, phone number and email address
• the address or suburb where the work is to be done
• details and photos of the job you send us
• billing and payment details needed to invoice you
• records of the work we do, including certificates and test results
• basic website usage information, such as pages visited and the device and browser used

We collect information when you:

• fill in the quote or contact form on our website
• call, text or email us
• message us on Facebook or Instagram
• book or pay for work

Our website also collects some information automatically through cookies and similar tools (see Cookies and analytics below).

We use your information to:

• respond to your enquiry and give you a quote
• schedule, carry out and follow up on your job
• issue invoices and receive payment
• meet our legal and safety obligations as an electrical contractor, including issuing Certificates of Electrical Safety
• improve our website and services

We won't send you marketing unless you've agreed to it, and you can opt out at any time.

We don't sell your personal information. We only share it where it's needed to do your job or where the law requires it, for example with:

• Energy Safe Victoria, for certificates and compliance records
• your electricity distributor or retailer, where work involves your supply or meter
• builders or other trades working on the same project, where you've asked us to work with them
• suppliers, for example when ordering equipment for your job
• service providers who help us run the business, such as accounting, email, website hosting and IT support
• government agencies or others where required by law

Our website uses cookies and similar tools to make it work properly and to understand how people use it. We may use Google services, such as Google Analytics and Search Console, which collect information about your visit. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work as well.

We store information in our business systems and with trusted service providers. Some of these providers may store data on servers outside Australia. We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, and we only keep it for as long as we need it for the purposes above or as required by law.
